If you feel up to it, try to get showered and dressed when you wake up in the morning. We know if you’ve had a particularly tough night or your recovery is a little slower than you’d hoped, this might not be possible, but lots of our multiples mummies say simply getting up, getting an invigorating shower and climbing into some clean, comfy clothes helped make them feel a little more human!
Then, eat and drink. We can’t stress this enough! Learning how to manage life with multiples is tough work, and there’s no way you can take care of multiple babies if you don’t take care of yourself. In the early days, your babies’ tummies will be tiny and they tire easily, so they’ll need to be feeding frequently which will be taxing for you. Your days will be long and, without fuel to get you through them, they won’t be much fun.
